Telecom/Telematique, Inc. was awarded a contract by U.S. Trade and Development Agency to organize and conduct management courses and study tours for the Iraqi Ministry of Oil in 2006.

The Management program offered seven courses in Amman, Cairo, the U.S, and in Iraq for 300 middle and senior managers from the Ministry and the Northern Oil Company (NOC) and Southern Oil Company (SOC). Two Study Tours for ten senior managers each were conducted in the U.S. during June 2006.

Telecom/Telematique, Inc. collaborated with U.S. industry and universities to conduct this important program to share with Iraqi's oil and gas industry the knowledge, technology, and business management practices that will advance the development of the sector. Industry partners contributed to Study Tours and courses, providing experts, case studies, simulations, and course materials.

Four of the courses were repeated in Sulaimania, Iraq for management and technical specialists during August and September 2006. Telecom/Telematique, Inc. organized and implemented the distance learning and e-learning program in Iraq for conducting these four management courses.

The second year of the program will measure and evaluate the impact of the training program of seven courses and two study tours. The Final Report will also recommend expanded and on-going education and training for Iraq's oil and gas industry.
