FINANCIAL AND LEGAL ADVISOR
Peter Yanachkov is a Financial and Legal Advisor on international projects. Mr. Yanachkov will be the T/TI Senior Advisor on project finance on the Task 6 Elaboration of the Strategic Implementation Plan for e-Government. He will work with the T/TI team and the Uzbek officials and partners on the strategies and documentation for seeking the financing of the e-government infrastructure and services. He will discuss financing options with The World Bank, IFC, ADB, EBRD, commercial banks, and potential suppliers.
Mr. Yanachkov is an international attorney who specializes in Corporate Law, Banking Law, Corporate Finance, Public Procurement Law, and Privatization transactions. His general practice concentrates on corporate financing, foreign direct investment, project financing. His advisory work experience is in the reforming economies in Europe and Central Asia. His recent work has been in project appraisal, evaluation, monitoring and project preparation. He has strong experience in advising foreign companies working within Central and Eastern European Countries (Bulgaria, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Romania, Russian Federation, Ukraine and Yugoslavia) He provides analysis of the business and foreign investment legislation in the transition economies in Europe and Central Asia. Mr. Yanachkov has participated and managed USAID and World Bank financed consulting and technical assistance projects.
Peter Yanachkov has over 12 years of experience in financing, restructuring and privatization in the manufacturing, telecommunications and infrastructure sectors of transition economies. Mr. Yanachkov has advised governments, multilateral institutions, investment banks and strategic investors in Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Macedonia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Romania, Russia, Ukraine and Yugoslavia. His experience includes project appraisal, asset valuation, development of restructuring and social impact mitigation plans, and preparation of investor and strategic investment plans.
Mr. Yanachkov is on the Faculty of the International Law Institute in Washington, D.C. where he specializes in corporate law, project financing and secured transaction. He worked as a lawyer on commercial transactions in Central and Eastern Europe, where he drafted various contracts on a wide variety of corporation and commercial issues; took active part in negotiations with interested parties for the set up of joint ventures; and assessed and advised a wide range of business legal issues concerning Bulgaria, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Ukraine and Yugoslavia.
Mr. Yanachkov is a member of the New York Bar Association and the International Bar Association. He is fluent in English, Russian, Bulgarian, Polish, Serbo-Croatian, and Spanish.
