The Center is housed on the second floor of the right wing of the TUIT building. It occupies approximately one-half of the floor, and consists of Lecture Hall with multimedia equipment for distance learning, a seminar room equipped for distance learning, a second seminar room, a laboratory for telecom and IT equipment and systems, the Director's office, a lounge, a rest room, a resource center, and space for the office manager.
The Center is refurbished, furnished, and equipped according to a plan developed by T/TI consultants. The location and dimensions of each room are shown on the charts. Examples of furniture and floor/wall/window coverings are included. The Center has a professional, high-tech, and feminine atmosphere, and the décor will be a modern design with elements of the national motif.
SUN Ray clusters of thin clients will go in
two classrooms at TUIT, and in the future in the remote sites at the
Universities in Samarkand and Burkara, as well as in the other Central Asian
Republics. Eight remote sights will be connected to the
hub in Tashkent. Remote sites will have access to all the same courses and will have
interactive sessions with each other.
The facilities also include:
- ROUTERS: 20 CISCO2610XM 10/100 Ethernet Router w/ Cisco IOS IP
- CALL MANAGERS: 20 Cisco Call Manager Systems to manage and route VoIP connections
- TELEPHONES: 40 Digital VoIP and Analog Telephones
- VOICE OVER IP (VoIP SWITCHES): 20 Switches to support VoIP
- PCs: 20 1. 20 Windows XP Desktops. Each equipped with the following features:
- 256 MB of RAM
- 80 Gig Hard draive
- Celeron 1700 processor
- ROUTERS: 40 Desktop Switches and 10 Routers
- SERVERS: 20 Servers to support Windows Server and Linux courses
- UNIX SERVERS: 4. Sun UNIX Servers

The center is also co-located with the CISCO Training center which provides training and certification on Cisco products.
